It’s the off-season, which means one thing in elite racing… Super League Triathlon (SLT)! And what a spectacle we’re in for, with a new Championship Series round the corner packed full of fast-paced racing. Here’s how you can watch the action…
Super League Championship Series London
After the excitement of the Arena Games series earlier this year that saw the first triathlon eSport champions crowned, the season’s championship series is due to commence with a firm calendar favourite in London in September. Continuing on until the end of October, the two-month period will see five championship races in some of the world’s major cities to determine the Super League Triathlon Champion.
In the waters of West India Quay and along the technical, cobbled streets, athletes will battle it out for the first SLT title of the series. Super League says that, ‘the course at West India Quay gets a big change from its 2021 debut with the start and finish now at the opposite end of the Quay and the circuit running in reverse.’
The elite women’s race will kick off on Sunday 4 September at 1:09pm, with the men’s elite race taking place from 2:24pm.

What is the Super League Eliminator?
The Eliminator is the first-ever format raced in Super League. It tests the resilience, stamina and velocity of the athletes in a pressure-cooker environment where field position proves key over timing. There are three rounds of swim-bike-run with a short break in between each for the athletes to reset their equipment.
What is SLT Teams?
SLT Teams is a new team franchise concept, designed to add new racing dynamics, and handing power to athletes, fans and stakeholders to help shape the future of the sport.
There are five Teams, each with a Team Manager who has a vast knowledge of the sport and has been a top level elite athlete. Each team will consist of four female athletes and four male athletes. Though team members are yet to be confirmed for the 2022 season, the SLT team managers are:
- SLT Scorpions: Managed by four-time World Champion Chris McCormack
- SLT Eagles: Managed by four-time World Champion Tim Don
- SLT Cheetahs: Managed by World Duathlon champion Annie Emerson
- SLT Rhinos: Managed by 11-time Ironman winner Ronnie Schildknecht
- SLT Sharks: Managed by two-time Olympian Michelle Dillon
